Dr. Madhumeeta Banerjee is a self-taught watercolourist and artist with soul. Originally an MBBS, MD, a medical professional, a professor in a dental college and one of the Directors of Sadbhavna group of institutions. She has trained, retrained, learned and relearned, reviewed and re-explored her multifarious talents to emerge as an Artist. Her life joys and sorrows, tragedies and setbacks, gifts and losses, have steeled her on the path of Art. Her pain has cleansed her soul and Art is like a meditation for her. Her vision is to bring joy and blessings to all those who view her art and learn from her too. Positivity and happiness ooze out of her art works, be it a face of a child, or an age lined face, all depict faith, trust, hope, enthusiasm and waiting. Her paintings abound in usage of warm and vivacious colours and the characters speak out.

She conceives the painting in her mind, gives it hues, adds character to it, improves and amends it till it is lovingly painted on canvas or paper. She uses best quality paints and brushes and surface so that the finished work is an asset for the buyer.

Dr. Madhumeeta Banerjee’s works on Banaras Ghats were selected for online display at IWS Canada and Ukraine in 2018. Her portraits have been selected in India, in IWS Poland step by step contest, IWS Albania, IWS Swiss Thai in Zurich, IWS Kosova and IWS India.

She has won many honours, awards and prizes in exhibition and online contests, especially in watercolour. She keeps herself updated by studying Art courses and attending workshops, seminars and exhibitions. She has been conducting Online Art classes/ workshops for students across the world and looks forward to spread happiness through her Teaching methods.
